  • The next Halo model of Ford after the GT supercar could be a super-Suv.
  • The dear performance flagship product would carry the brand’s Raptor brand.
  • Hero Vehicle would provide a link to the rally runner Ford Raptor T1 + Dakar.

Ford plots a new flagship performance model, but despite the fact that the car manufacturer is preparing for a return to Le Mans in 2027, this time, hero’s car is not inspired by the track, but trucks.

CEO Jim Farley recently declared that he wanted Ford to be known as all-terrain Porsche, and in a conversation with Top Gear, he expanded this idea, revealing that Dearborn could build a flagship supercar of the brand Raptor.

It would not simply be a faster version of a product existing in the style of models such as the F-150 AN RANGER RAPTORS, but a tailor-made raptor vehicle that could provide a marketing link with the RALLY RALLY Raptor T1 + DAKAR weapon link of Ford.

“We are creating something, so we don’t have all the answers yet, but the question is so Ford makes an all-terrain supercar?” Not a version of a car, an autonomous supercar, “said Farley to Jack Rix from Top Gear when launching the new motor sport season in Charlotte, NC.

“This is what we are trying to answer. What are we doing on a public service car? Is there a supercar? This is what we are debating now, “he said.

While the Ford GT was exciting to drive on a fast and open race track, it was only if a large part of its performance potential that you could operate on the road. But an all-terrain Supercar from the Raptor brand could be much more usable.

“The reason why people like to put it in the UK, it’s because it is a fun car, but the damping is very consistent,” suggested Farley. “People do not understand all-terrain races how much the damping is in conformity and that makes it a completely different experience of being in one (Porsche 911) GT2 RS.

Mark Rushbrook, the World Director of Ford Performance, then clearly told Top Gear that he was on the same wavelength as Farley.

“Ford Performance’s mission is to have as much motorsport as possible in products that people can buy. We love we have an F-150, Bronco and Ranger Raptor, but we can do more, “he said. “Stay listening.”

The Raptor T1 + won third place in its first attempted Dakar exhausting last month, but there is almost no chance that the Raptor Hero machine on the Ford road will be a production version. The T1 +, a dedicated rally car produced by the long-standing Ford partner M Sport in the United Kingdom, is built around a dressed steel childhood in carbon carbon panels, has 400 mm (15.8 thumbs) of floor clearance and is propelled by a 5.0 -liter COYOTE V8 of 5.0 liters.

What form would you like to see Ford Raptor’s lighthouse take? A supercar area van, a crossroads that can eat a lively and off -road Ferrari Purosangue, or something else?
