- Vuk Manufaktur spent two years doing C63 S that Mercedes-AMG should have built.
- The standard Plug-In hybrid Plug-in Motopropulser group can have more power, but it cannot correspond to the sound of the V8.
- It is not known if the Austrian company plans to sell V8 conversions to customers.
It is not a secret for anyone that the new Mercedes-AMG C63 S, with its hybrid plug-in with four-cylinder turbocharged 2.0 liters, does not have the same chandelier as its predecessors with V8. Of course, the Super Sedan packs 671 hp, but no amount of energy can convince some to buy such a large car with a 4 -cylinder engine. Now an Austrian company has the answer.
Over the past two years, Vuk Manufaktur has worked on the development and construction of the W206 C63 powered by V8 that we all expected. The work was wrapped and it looks like what AMG should have done in the first place.

Few details were provided on the engine exchange, even if it would not have been easy. The four -cylinder powertrain has been removed, with all the rechargeable hybrid parts, such as the trio of electric motors. Vuk did not specify what is installed AMG, but it seems that it is the V8 with double 4.0-liter beloved turbocharger that is found in many AMG models. A automatic seven -speed transmission has probably been equipped alongside the new V8.
Although the new Hybrid C63 Reggracées easily surprises its predecessors, it cannot correspond to their driving experience. Yes, there are four-cylinders with pleasant consonance, but no matter the headers and the exhausts you use, there is simply no way to make a sounds as raw or as visceral as a V8. The creation of Vuk seems just as bestial as the old C63, making it an appropriate AMG car.
We do not know if Vuk plans to sell these V8 conversions, but this project at least shows that it is possible to drop the 4.0 -liter powertrain in the new C63. Could it be extremely long and expensive? You bet.
