- The KG mobility of Korea transforms the Ssangyong Musso into a dedicated collection submarque.
- The Musso EV should be launched in South Korea in T1 2025, with more markets to follow.
- The EV will be accompanied by an ice pick-up, with a more robust design.
KG Mobility, formerly known as Ssangyong, has introduced a new sub-brand for its future collection offers called Musso. The first vehicle under this new range is the KGM Musso EV, which closely resembles the concept O300 from 2023. This electric pick-up will soon be followed by an internal version of the combustion engine, which has been stained in official sketches .
Plus: Kg Mobility Actyon made its debut in Korea as longer and more elegant torres
Starting with the EV, KG Mobility shared the collection profile before its launch of the market. Fortunately, the real photos of his first public appearance during a Korean festival were published on Autospy. These reveal that the production model keeps a large part of the style of the concept, with only a few attenuated features, such as smaller wheels
At the front, the slim LED headlights, the hood and the wings closely resemble the Torres EVX SUV. However, the bumper extensions and mudguards have been redesigned, as well as a single rear that is better suited to the double cabin collection format. KG Mobility said that the collection will be customizable in various styles, with the first example sporting a roof grid.

The Musso EV is built on the same foundations as the Torres EVX and Actyon SUVs, but with a stretched wheelbase and a longer rear overhang to adapt to the collection format. Although the above -mentioned models are only available in front traction, the Musso EV will offer an all -wheel drive version, most likely powered by double electric motors.
The new collection model should be launched in Korea in the first quarter of 2025, with expansion plans for markets like the United Kingdom and Australia later.
Ice version
In addition to the KGM Musso EV, KG Mobility shared teaser sketches from a Musso microphone powered by petrol which will also be part of the range. While the Torres electric versions and ice creams are quite similar, the Musso Ice version seems to adopt a different design approach.
The pick-up has the position of the intermediate size truck with a robust but modern look. The LED headlights recall the Ford F-150, while the front includes a large grille and a slippage plate. The rear shows tubes that the tails, signaling the presence of an internal combustion engine under the hood. In one of the sketches, the truck is even converted into a land camper.
Details on the ICE version remain rare, without official launch date. However, given that the current sports of Musso and Rexton should end production in 2025, this new model could be published as a successor around 2026.

A short lesson in history
The original Ssangyong Musso made its debut in 1993 as a SUV powered by Mercedes. The name “Musso” comes from the Korean word for rhinos.
In 2002, he generated a double -cabin pick -up variant, known as the Ssangyong Musso Sports. This was followed by Sports Action (2006), Korando Sports (2012) and Rexton Sports (2018), the latter adopting the name Musso on the markets outside Korea.
KG Mobility says that the new Musso range aims to continue the legacy of its predecessors, designed to meet both daily and leisure needs. “A company spokesperson has tackled that more Musso variants are in Work declaring: “We will continue the Musso tradition by developing and expanding a diverse portfolio of ranges of collection in the future.”
