  • The Nhet TV crew built a convincing replica of Koenigsegg Jesko from zero.
  • The fiberglass body is on a personalized frame, with a power from a Toyota engine.
  • The replica has an interior suspension and automatic dihedral doors for more realism.

Koenigsegg Jesko is a hypercar as rare as it is rapid, an absolute beast of a machine practically inaccessible for most of us because of its astronomical price and its limited production. But leave it to a team of Vietnamese manufacturers to run the heads by creating a convincing replica using parts of an old Toyota sedan.

This project is graceful of Nhet TV, a YouTube channel which has become a must for fans of hypercar replicas. If you think this is the first time that you have been trying such a feat, think again. In 2022, they built a Bugatti Chiron, followed by the Ferrari in 2023, and a Pagani Huayra in 2024. He is sure to say that they have mastered the art of automotive manufacturing, proving that the practice is indeed perfect .

The trip started with a little more than a metallic tube skeleton, made by referring to photos of the Jesko. This skeletal frame has become the foundation of a full -size clay model, which was then used to create the fiberglass body which would ultimately give the replica of the hypercar.

Rather than gifying a replica on an existing vehicle, the team went to everything and built a personalized steel chassis. As if that were not enough, they also designed an entirely independent interior suspension and tested its durability by literally abandoning the rolling chassis with a significant height. The result? A replica which remained faithful to the proportions of the original Jesko, which makes it much more credible.

The illustrated Toyota Corona has donated its engine, its gearbox and other mechanical components.

A toyota corona motorcycle group? Of course, why not

The next step was to find a motorcycle group. The manufacturers turned to the most improbable sources: a ninth generation Toyota Corona (also known as Carina E), which would have been recovered for only $ 100. While the body of the car was in good shape, its transmission was still in good working order. The team managed to reuse not only the engine, but also the gearbox and other critical mechanical components.

The 1.8 -liter natural suction engine of the Toyota was mounted in the rear midfield position on the personalized chassis. Although it is obviously not up to the 5.0-liter V8 at 5.0 liters Twin-Turbo of 1,600 hp (193 kW / 1 622 PS) in the real Jesko, the Toyota engine is a good solution market and reliable that keeps things on the move.

Plus: $ 11,000 homemade cybertruck is both hilarious and impressive

Return to the replica body, it was painted in a vibrant red shade, accentuated with white stripes and black details. To remain as faithful to the original as possible, the team designed personalized headlights and rear lights, while recreating the oversized aerodynamic components of the Jesko attack, which are designed for a maximum support force. They also added false brake discs with green calipers.

Personalized details, inside and outside

What is even more impressive than cosmetics is that the Vietnamese manufacturers have created personalized opening parts such as dihedral doors, the hood and the rear palais hull. This is one of the most difficult aspects of building a vehicle from zero, especially for those who have no experience in automotive production.

The final phase involved adapting to the interior panels, which remain faithful to the original design, but with obviously cheaper plastic and model screens. The bucket seats have a light blue pad with a diamond-shaped pattern, while the central console includes two stewers.

According to Nhet TV, the entire process has taken a full year, highlighting the dedication of all those involved. As with their previous replicas, this model has not been built for commercial use and is not legal in the street due to missing basic safety features. However, it is an impressive project that helps manufacturers perfect their skills while generating millions of views of social networks – in addition to their main source of funding.

If you are curious to know the full process, Nhet TV has downloaded a video of almost an hour detailing the construction. Discover it below, as well as a screenshot gallery capturing key moments.
