A Buick and GMC dealer in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, was criticized after revealing that an employee left a racial insult on the oil change sticker of a client. According to the dealer, he dismissed the worker who left the sticker, but for the owner of the car, the damage had already been caused.

The vehicle in question belongs to the local resident Makayla Starks. She bought her Nissan Rogue from Kuns Buick GMC – Oak Creek last year and in January, made a free oil change. With her knowledge, an employee added the word N to the oil change sticker on his windshield.

Speaking with Fox 6 now, Starks said shortly after taking her car, she received several SMS and telephone calls from the dealer’s employees. In a message, a lot on the part of the dealer said that a service technician had left a tool in the engine bay of his SUV and wanted to come to her house to recover it. Starks denied that there was a tool in his Nissan. She quickly discovered the real reason why the dealer had contacted her.

The subsequent messages of a concessionaire employee revealed that the staff wanted to withdraw the offensive sticker from the car and exchange it, without them knowing it. It was not until the moment that Starks watched the service sticker and saw the racial insult which had been added.

“It was the N-MOT,” said Starks. “When I saw the sticker for the first time, I cried – immediately – I sat there in my car and cried.”

Writing on Facebook, the concessionaire said that the sticker was supposed to be a joke for a colleague and did not intend to a second printed copy and fixed on Starks’ car. KUNES BUICK GMC described it as a “despicable and indefensible act” and that the responsible employee was immediately dismissed.

“We are deeply disturbed and saddened by the incident that has been revealed involving one of our employees and a customer, his feeling of security and dignity,” the dealer said in a statement. “We want to be unequivocal: this behavior and the hateful feeling that it implies are absolutely against our values ​​as a business. There is no room for racism or discrimination within our dealer or our community. »»

Earlier this month, a small group of premises gathered outside the dealer to protest. Meanwhile, Starks and his lawyer called for a community boycott and demand the names of all the employees involved.
