  • We imagined what a modern successor of the fast sports sedan could look like.
  • The study is based on the vandes, with a stretched wheelbase for more comfort.
  • A four -door v12 Aston Martin would compete with the Porsche Panamera Turbo S.

Despite the insistence of Aston Martin on the fact that his Crossover DBX is the future, enthusiasts have not stopped desire for a real successor to four doors of the rapid, and frankly, we did not have . The rapid was one of those rare sedans who looked like a good Aston – grace, aggressive and completely useless in the best possible way. However, while society remains focused on SUVs, the dream of a new, more powerful quick refuse to fade.

Curious? Let us dive into our vision of a quick redesigned, built on the newly revealed Vanquish bones of Aston. Imagine the soul of a supercar wrapped in an elegant four -door package, with a monstrous double turbo V12, a breathtaking style, and just enough impracticity to make it irresistible. This is the kind of Grand Tourer Aston could Building, but for known reasons only of its accountants, will probably never do it.

Given the extremely positive answer to the new Vanquish, our concept borrows its striking aesthetic, stretching the wheelbase for improved access in the rear seat. He relies on his two -door brother with revised lower contributions, an elongated hood, a sculpted surfacing and large hips.

Plus: the new CEO of Aston Martin has a crazy plan to save the brand – doing less work

There is a suspicion of a dodge sedan in the side glass. On the other hand, a panoramic glass roof extends into the lid of the rear truck, allowing natural light to flood the cabin. At the rear, LED light blades, the aggressive sculpture of the bumper and a pronounced rear diffuser improve the aesthetics of the Grand Touring.

Sporting luxury

Other protruding facts? Think of tailor -made leather, a carbon fiber garnish, an electrochromic glass and a Bowers & Wilkins audio system. The rear passengers would not be a reflection afterwards, either because they would appreciate massage and reclining seats, individual climatic controls and significantly more legs for the legs, thanks to the extensive wheelbase.

12 -cylinder perfection

Do you want something with electrifying help? No, sorry, not in this hypothetical study. The power could come from the V12 of 5.2 liters of Vanquish V12, producing an absurd torque of 823 hp (614 kW) and 737 feet (1000 nm) of torque.

Future cars: 2027 Alfa Romeo Giulia will be a crossover, abandoning its sedan roots

Associated with an automatic transmission ZF with eight -speed and an electronic rear differential, a time from 0 to 60 MPH in less than 3.5 seconds with a top speed almost 200 MPH (320 km / h) could be achievable. The adaptive suspension and the Bilstein DTX shock absorbers would provide an engaging and comfortable driving experience.

Four doors

Do you want something a little more sage than an Aston? The rivals would include Porsche Panamera Turbo S, Mercedes-AMG GT 63 E and Bentley Flying Spur.

For the moment, however, the British brand seems to be betting with its DBX SUV range, leaving a four doors powered by V12 as nothing more than a enticing “and if”. But if Aston decided to break the mold and give us the fast successor we are waiting for, would you be on board? Let us know in the comments.
