- A multitude of visual updates will bring out the ordinary GV60 crossover.
- It is not clear if Genesis will use the same changes of false equipment as the IONIQ 5 N and Ev6 GT.
- If the magma combines the high -end character of Genesis with the pleasure of 5 N, it could be brilliant.
More satisfied with being the luxury brand within the Hyundai Motor group, Genesis ventures into the world of motorsport and works on several high-performance models thanks to its new Magma submarque. The first of these models will be the Magma GV60 and it has just been filmed in motion during winter tests in Europe.
The pressure is on Genesis to ensure that the Magma GV60 is exceptional. As you probably already know, the GV60 shares its foundations with the Kia Ev6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5, and the two received high performance versions in the form of the EV6 GT and Ioniq 5 N. Ioniq 5 N for the latter series of tests with the Magma GV60, by counting it against the rented EV of Hyundai.

Like the IONIQ 5 N, the Magma GV60 should use the last 84 kWh battery pack introduced by the Hyundai and since then added to the Kia Ev6 range. It must also use the same improved front and rear electric motors as the IONIQ 5 N power details have not yet been confirmed, but the Hyundai offers a peak of 641 hp, while the EV6 GT Factié offers 645 hp . The Magma GV60 should at least correspond to them.
Performance must be extraordinary. The Ioniq 5 N needs only 3.4 seconds to reach 62 MPH (100 km / h), and Genesis should be roughly the same. Then there is the question of changes in synthetic equipment. Will the Magma GV60 get them or not? This system was launched for the first time in Hyundai and received praise from driving enthusiasts around the world. It was then added to the Ev6 GT updated at the end of last year. We suspect that Genesis will also have the same system, adding a certain additional driving involvement to the EV experience.
It is not only the Hyundai against which Genesis tests his new EV flagship. This clip also shows that a Porsche Taycan has joined the magma, alongside a second prototype that looks like Hyundai Ioniq 6 N.
