- Kia will equip each version of its EV4 crossing with a simulated manual transmission.
- Although all versions get the false quarters of work, only the GT sports model has a (false) diet limiter.
- Kia revealed the first EV4 photos last week and will publish details on full technology on February 27.
The next KIA EV4 promises to be a seriously desirable competitor in the affordable EV space, and now we have exclusive information that makes it even more intriguing. According to a source with which we talked to Inside Knowledge at Kia, each version of the EV4 will be delivered with a simulated jelly manual – a characteristic similar to that found on the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N and the Kia Ev6 GT recently updated .
Kia and her parent company, Hyundai, have experienced means to make electric vehicles more attractive to driving enthusiasts, and it seems that the EV4 will be the last to benefit from this strategy. The simulated manual speed change system, which appeared for the first time in the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, allows drivers to “move” through virtual gears using speed change pallets while the software Adjust the power delivery to imitate the behavior of an internal combustion engine.

Although this feature was initially positioned as something solely for the most focused on Hyundai-Kia performance, Kia has now decided to deploy it all over the EV4 range. This means that even basic model buyers will be able to undergo simulated speed changes, a movement that could aim to make electric vehicles more familiar to drivers who pass from combustion cars.
However, while all EV4s will obtain the simulated paletter technology, only the high performance GT EV4 which arrives later goes further by incorporating a false diet limiter for an additional dose of driving commitment. The false diet limiter will simulate the feeling of hitting the red line, forcing drivers to move the “gears” at the right time to maintain optimal acceleration.

On the Ioniq 5 N, this system is associated with synthetic engine sounds and even hollows of pair simulated between offsets to improve illusion. Although it is not yet clear if the EV4 GT will offer these exact features, it is likely to follow a similar philosophy, bringing a fun advantage and adapted to the enthusiasts of the model.
We understand that the EV5 SUV will not have false manual technology when it is sold in Europe and America later this year, because it is an older car and is already on sale in China for some time . But it may be able to inherit functionality as part of an update of mid-life in a few years.
Kia published the exterior images of the EV4 in the form of a sedan and tailgate last week, revealing that the production car which should be put up later this year has changed very little compared to the concept 2023. But it is Until now, tight on the interior style and technological specifications, although we have already published spy blows showing the dashboard, which, once again, resembles that of the concept.
We will learn more about the interior and mechanical crossing of the crossing during its beginnings in Kia’s EV Day 2025 in Spain on February 27 alongside the production version of the PV5 van and an EV2 concept.
