Do you prefer to go home in a bugatti or behind the wheel of a Koenigsegg?

- French hypercar has an advantage in power over its Swedish enemy but also weighs much more.
- An all -wheel drive system helps the Bugatti to put its power on the ground, unlike the Jesko.
- The Jesko tested here was not equipped with the upgrade of the E85 engine which gives it 1,600 hp.
The Bugatti Super Sport and Koenigsegg Jesko attack attack are two of the wildest hypercars ever created, but which is faster in a straight line? Carwow was able to answer this question while celebrating the shot of 10 million subscribers, bringing together a Chiron and a Jesko for a series of high -speed dragster races.
The Super Sport Chiron uses a w16 quad-turbocompressive engine of 8.0 liters delivering 1,578 hp and 1,180 hp (1,600 nm) of torque, which is sent to the four wheels by a double-speed double clutch transmission. Depending on the standards of supercar and hypercar, it is also very heavy, based on the scale at 1,995 kg (4,398 lb).
Watch: Koenigsegg Jesko is called around the upper test track, establishing a new Rules Record
Jesko’s attack is very different. It has a higher 5.0-liter V8 turbo V8 with 1,280 hp and 738 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque. Above all, it is only with a rear traction and uses the internal transmission of Koenigsegg’s lightspeed with nine speeds. Although it does not have the power of the Chiron, it weighs only 1,420 kg (3,130 lb).
In the first race, the lightest Jesko is not up to the Chiron while he fights to put his power on the ground. The Bugatti obtains a much better launch and quickly built a dominant advance, winning an easy victory. Things were much closer in the second race.
This time, the Koenigsegg has done a better job by putting its power on the ground, and as the speeds began to build, the two cars remained locked together. When they crossed the line, it was a photo, but the Chiron simply preceded its Swedish rival. The two cars ran a quarter in 9.6 seconds.
Two hilly races also took place. In the first, the two cars were at first speed and moved away from 10 MPH, while in the second, the cars were in third speed and started at 62 MPH. With a better traction, the Bugatti won the victory in the first race, but the Koenigsegg won an easy victory in the second race.
Interestingly, although the super sport is the fastest version of the available Chiron, we cannot say as much of the Jesko which has been tested. KOENIGSEGG offers an engine upgrade which allows it to operate on E85, increasing the groan to 1,600 hp, but this Jesko does not have the upgrade, which, in theory, should make it more competitive against the Bugatti.
