  • The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Service adds 10 Cybertrucks Tesla free of charge to its fleet.
  • Some of them will serve as Swat vehicles with specialized modifications for all-terrain.

It was just a matter of time before the Tesla Cybertruck was made in the police. This moment arrived with the confirmation of the Las Vegas metropolitan police service that it adds 10 cybertrucks to its fleet and that they will not only be used for promotional activities.

It is not uncommon for police forces around the world to adopt flashy and costly vehicles, often arousing controversy if taxpayers’ money is involved. In this case, however, the Metropolitan Police Service in Las Vegas stresses that the 10 cybertrucks are “given by an anonymous supporter”, avoiding any billing linked to the budget.

According to the department, some of the cybertrucks will be used by local Swat teams, while others will serve as regular patrol cars for the police of Las Vegas. A pair of rendering show what the modified cybertrucks could look like, and even if it is difficult to stand out in Las Vegas among all the flashing lights and madness, these teslas will undoubtedly do heads.

The preview version for using Swat is completed in a new color of the desert and is on black spare wheels with huge mud tires. It also seeks to include reinforced armored doors and windows, off-road tracks and personalized bumpers. It is not clear if the finished product will look like this, because this rendering seems to be based on an improved cybertruck of unveiled performance unveiled at the end of 2023.

The regular version of the Cruiser’s police seems to be a little more tamed and, once again, was previewed with a single image based on the car of Cybertruck Performance Unplugged Performance unveiled last year. The changes include new flashing lighting bars, personalized wheels and LED projectors.

“Imagine when we have come out and we invoice these things, and the officers will be approached by people from the whole community to see this thing,” Kevin McMahill told Fox 5 Vegas. “It is an opportunity (to inject) humanity, to increase our community partnerships. It is also a huge recruitment tool. »»
