- Dodge highlights the standard all -wheel drive system on the redrawn charger.
- The company says it is “tested in combat” and should help increase the attraction of the model.
- Four -door chargers arrive in the first half of 2025, while the ice -powered models arrive later.
The Dodge Charger Daytona landed with a foreseeable deaf noise and the dealers already offer discounts greater than $ 12,000. It is a popping number of the eyes and which makes it clear the dull demand.
Given this, it is not surprising to learn that Dodge is trying to promote the charger as the “all -wheel drive” of the world “in the world”. While the challenger offered an optional all -wheel drive system, each charger comes with it. This includes the next Sixpack variants, which will have a 3.0 -liter double turbo rp -on online producing up to 550 hp (410 kW / 558 PS).

Dodge CEO, Matt Mcalear, said it was “an opportunity for the Dodge brand and for our customers who live in colder climates”. The automaker has also noted that the all -wheel drive system had been “tested in combat” in various places – including the upper Michigan peninsula – and these trips have proven the “charger capacity to merge the performance of muscle cars with the capacity all times”.
Although Dodge did not say much about the all-wheel drive system itself, they noted that the model had a damp / snow mode which provides the “greater number of traction and stability”. To do this, the mode adjusts traction control, control of electronic stability, regenerative braking and torque bias logic.
Dodge also noted that the charger comes standard with a rear differential at the rear mechanical limited. It sends power to two rear wheels for more traction.
If you are more concerned with pleasure, there is a drift / donut mode that converts the vehicle into a rear traction muscle car. It also deactivates electronic stability control and strangles of the traction control intervention threshold.
Of course, the elephant in the room is the price while the Daytona 2024 load starts at $ 59,595. By way of comparison, the SXT Challenger of all -wheel drive sold $ 35,140 and you can go to the GT variant for $ 38,440. It is a huge difference, even if the loader daytona is much more powerful.
