The 7.0 -liter LT2 engine was announced for the first time in March of last year and is now available for customers for $ 29,950. The tuners mainly resorting to forced induction for more power, Lingenfelter must be applauded to stick to horses with naturally old -fashioned suction.
Integrated into the engine bay of a corvette x-ray, the engine delivered 577 hp and 439 LB-PI (595 nm) of torque. Now, before you think it’s not so impressive, don’t forget that these figures have been recorded on the wheels. If you take a loss of transmission of 20%, this would be equivalent to 692 hp in the crank. Lingenfelter himself says that the engine itself delivers 704 hp and 600 lb-pi (813 nm) on 91 octane pump gases.
As this particular C8 is an x-ray, it also has an electric motor at the front axle, offering 160 hp, 125 lb-pi (169 nm) of torque and all-wheel drive. This means that this driving pumps around 860 horsepower combined, and we are sure that it is an absolute monster.
Lingenfelter did not just add a larger engine and call it one day. The 7.0 -liter LT2 has a brand new forged rotary set, a personalized camshaft, an improved connection connecting rod, fresh pistons and even personalized internal cylinder heads. Oh, and it is designed to play well with the original eight -speed double -speed transmission, so you don’t have to worry about the clumsy mechanical hiccups when you fix all this additional power.
