  • Mercedes’ all electric SUV SUV FLAUNON was spied on during winter tests.
  • The EV will face the Crossover Lotus Elter, Porsche K1 and Bentley.
  • Under the skin is an AMG.EA platform which will also form the base for the next GT 4DR.

Sales of slower than expected electric vehicles have forced Porsche and Mercedes to renew their commitment to combustion powertrain, but this change of strategy will not prevent the two companies offering some new electrical flagship products. And our spy photo team has just broken the competitor of AMG who participates in the winter tests before the beginnings of next year.

AMG published a photo of itself and a brief video last December, both taken on the company’s test track. But this last set of images shows the super-Suv electric tests for real in northern Europe and gives us a better chance of seeing the FE from several angles.

Like Purosangue à V12 from Ferrari, the nameless electric AMG is more a cross than an SUV. It has a relatively low roof line, a modest floor clearance, a narrow greenhouse and a sports rake at its rear window. Unlike GLS63 AMG-BADGED, the most expensive SUV in the company’s current range, the EV should only have room for two rows of seats.

Each of the AMG SUVs that you can buy today is a pompée version of an ordinary Mercedes product, but it will be unique in AMG and has been developed internally in Affalterbach. It must measure around 5.1 meters (200 inches) in length and offer a lot of space thanks to a CIRNA-3 M wheelbase (118 inches).

This prototype has space lights reserved at the rear and the fronts are protected by camouflage but always give us an overview of the DRLS star pattern below. It is possible that, rather than being integrated into a traditional cluster, the individual light elements can be placed directly in the body, as we can see on the Mercedes Vision AMG concept of 2022.

This concept has previewed a successor to Porsche Taycan-Rivalling of the four-door AMG GT which will be built on the same AMG.EA platform as SUV and shares battery and motor technology. The rapid load gracked with 800 volts of electricity means that the fillings will be brief, as is zero at 60 MPH (97 km for) run if rumors of more than 1,000 HP (1,014 PS / 746 kW) are true. And we are sure they are.

Mercedes-AMG could make his debut on the SUV in 2026 with sales from 2027, which would potentially put him in the street in front of his rival Porsche K1.
