  • Several Tesla compressor stations burned overnight in Littleton, Massachusetts.
  • Authorities are investigating the fire as a criminal start against the EV brand.
  • This marks the third case of criminal fire targeting Tesla-en Brand products for a single week.

Certain owners of electric vehicles can be unpleasant when they stop to load today only to find that their planned station is reduced to a charred wreck. This is the unfortunate situation at the Tesla compressor station in Littleton, Massachusetts, where at least seven stands were burnt down overnight. The authorities are currently investigating the incident as a criminal fire.

“Chef Matthew Pinard reports that the Littleton police department responded and investigates fires in a Tesla indictment at the point shopping center that would be suspicious,” said local officials ABC News. “The agents who answered observed that several Tesla charging stations were swallowed up in the flames and heavy and dark smoke.”

Authorities have clearly said they suspected criminal fire. “Littleton’s police and fire services, as well as the fire-and-state-of-state fire-based fire-based, fire provost, investigation and fire, fire, the fire was probably intentionally placed,” they confirmed. This is an important detail, especially since Tesla has provided an additional context that aligns with this conclusion.

Although fires on electric vehicles or charging stations can occur, they are extremely rare and are generally the result of a thermal event caused by a defective connection between a vehicle and a charger. In this case, however, Tesla confirmed that no car was connected at the time. Impressive, the company claims that the station will be fully operational again in less than 48 hours.

Interestingly, Tesla seems to have a quick turnaround when things like this happen. When Vandals attacked loads approximately a week ago, the team said it would solve the problem in one day and press accusations. Maybe it will do the same if the police find a suspect for fires in the Massachusetts.

Unfortunately, this marks the third criminal fire in just one week. In Colorado, the police caught a suspect with explosives and incendiary devices near a Tesla dealer – Fortunately, no fire was lit. In France, however, things took a darker turn. Police think that someone set fire to at least a dozen cars in a service center on Sunday during the night, including customer vehicles that were there for repairs.
