Robust trucks were a huge success with consumers and the ZR2 range from Chevrolet is among the most popular. Now the company gives us an overview of what an electric version could look like.
Unveiled during the Mint 400 off -road race, the concept of Silverado EV ZR2 racing truck was developed in just five months and is built almost entirely out of production. As he will participate in the event, the collection has been equipped with a raised suspension and continuous adaptive shock absorbers. These changes help provide more than 13 inches (330 mm) of wheels.
Plus: Chevy extends the Silverado EV 2025 range with new LT and battery options
The upgrades do not stop there because the concept has extended wing rockets and unique wheels wrapped in 37 -inch BF BF BF tires. They are joined by locking deviations, protection against sub-bodys and an assortment of auxiliary lights. To complete the reflections, the rails, the red recovery hooks and a ZR2 brand sports bar.
While the standard Silverado EV has a double-engine all-wheel drive system producing up to 760 hp (567 kW / 771 PS) and 785 LB-PI (1063 Nm) of torque, the concept is much more powerful. In fact, it has a tri-motor motorcycle group with a combined outing of 1,100 hp (820 kW / 1,115 PS) and 11,500 LB-PI (15574 Nm) of torque. Of course, it is sure to assume that the latter is more an exercise in mathematics than anything else.
According to Chevrolet’s vice-president, Scott Bell, “there is no better test field to test the limits of our vehicles than competitive races. The concept of Silverado EV ZR2 racing truck, which uses 98% GM production parts, has some of the best of Chevrolet to produce a pick-up beyond to fight against a difficult breed of the 400 mint. ”
While ZR2 is simply a concept at this stage, Chevrolet revealed that the Boss de Trail Silverado EV 2026 will arrive this summer. We will learn more in the coming weeks, but the truck includes an elevator installed in the factory as well as 18-inch wheels wrapped in 35-inch all-terrain tires.
