- BMW is testing a prototype of the G70 70 reality series.
- The sedan seems to keep its large grille and its divided headlights.
- We expect the Neue Klasse IX3 to have a certain minor influence.
The G70 7 series was a key player in a BMW experience that started with the 4 series to make the renal grills as large as they are physically possible. But this year, BMW launches the first of its cars Neue Klasse, the SUV IX3, and together a new radical design language. This makes life difficult to designers responsible for retreating the flagship sedan of the automaker.
Neue Klasse cars will reject the jumbo grille from the beginning of the 2020s for a modern version of the classic BMW face, that made famous by models such as the 30S E30 3 series. We have already seen spying of the G60 5 Facked series – a car that only left 2023 – suggesting that it will receive a neue Neue Klasse, but things are not so much 7.

Launched in 2022, the seven must certainly be due to an update, and we will probably see an eye for the result at the beginning of next year as My27. But to judge by what we can see here, the influences of Neue Klasse will be limited. Even with all the camouflage in place, we can see that the gigantic grille is not going.
But while the bars on each current series 7 series, including the i7 M70 and M760E, works vertically, they are climbed horizontally on this test car, indicating that M versions will be integrated into cars like the M4 and the M5.

Disguise also covers the upper area of the front end, which gives the impression that the DRL – the 7 series have divided lights – have disappeared. But we suspect that they are still there under camouflage. So, even if we will have to wait for more disguise to be taken off to find out that we are sure, the evidence indicates that this facelift is a minor, and not a complete cure of Neue Klasse.
New lights and bumpers will be added later in development, and it is possible that the 7 series can inherit some of the interior characteristics of the IX3, such as the wide head screen, but do not tilt yourself. But, Bank on BMW adding more technology to a sedan that is already equipped with level 3 driving aid and an optional rear screen of 31 inch while BMW tries to keep the pace of competitors like the Son class of Mercedes Soon Fached.
