Toyota did not say when the BZ4X refreshed will arrive in the United States

The Toyota BZ4X was supposed to be the brand’s response to Tesla Model Y, and the slew of other electric SUVs similar to the market, but it has never really removed the way Toyota would have hoped (although sales doubled last year in the United States). Not dissuaded by this, Toyota has updated it for the 2026 model year in Europe, and it promises to be better in all areas. This new model will also be available in the United States.
The most important changes occur on the battery forehead. New in the BZ4X range is an entry -level battery of 57.7 kWh. This lithium-ion pack is the same available in the new C-HR + and available exclusively in the basic front traction model. This version has an electric motor of 165 hp (123 kW) and promises a WLTP beach of 276 miles (445 km).

Two other versions of the BZ4X have been announced, both with a new 73.1 kWh battery pack. The least of these models contains 221 hp (165 kW) and can travel 356 miles (573 km) on a load, while the flagship model with all -wheel drive at 338 hp (252 kW) and a beach cited of 323 miles (520 km). The most impressive is perhaps that this version only needs 5.1 seconds to reach 62 MPH (100 km / h) – not bad for an unpretentious Toyota SUV.
Toyota says it has improved the energy density of the two packs and also increased the number of cells used in each. Improvements have also been made to electric motors and now include semiconductors in silicon carbide.

Invoice improvements
Several other improvements have been made. For example, the new BZ4X is equipped with the prediction of the battery which will allow a more effective high speed load under cold conditions. The high -level AC charger on high -level models now has 22 kW, rather than 11 kW, but the cutting -edge direct current load is capped at 150 kW, which is less than a part of the competition. Toyota is targeting a load of 10 to 80% in about 30 minutes. Buyers will also be happy to hear that BZ4X’s towing was doubled at 3,306 pounds (1,500 kg).
Few changes have been made outside the EV, other than a few minor adjustments to improve aerodynamics at the front. Many changes have been made to the cabin. Key upgrades include a simplified digital instrument cluster and a new 14 -inch screen that abandons the separate air conditioning switches from the old model.
