  • The P24 RS of Donkervoort follows F22 with more power, less weight and no Audi parts.
  • Like its predecessor, the new model benefits from an ultra-light construction.
  • The development of internal engines can push the P24 RS beyond 700 hp per tonne.

Shortly after the launch of the final iteration of his F22, the Dutch manufacturer Donkervoort began to work in his next supercar. This new model, nicknamed the P24 RS, will abandon the engines turbocharged by the Audi that the company has been using for 25 years, moving on to something else.

The P24 RS is based on the history of Donkervoort as well as on the company’s business and family. The “P” refers to Phebe, which is the second daughter of Denis Donkervoort, while the “24” refers to his birth of the birth of 2024. The F22 was named in a similar way, inspired by Denis’ first daughter, Filippa, who was born in 2022. The “ `rs’ ‘comes from the D8 270 RS, which established a new car tour Nordfreife.

Limited details are known on the powertrain of this new model. According to Denis Donkervoort, it will be a “new complete innovation” and a “new complete development”, indicating that it can be developed and built internally.

Whatever Donkervoort has in his sleeve, there is a good chance that this new engine exceeds the last five F22 which delivered 492 hp from its five turbocharged cylinders of 2.5 liters.

The small business will also continue its commitment to light construction methods with its next model, ensuring that it is a serious artist. The final iteration of the F22 changes the scales at only 1,578 pounds (716 kg), which gives it a power / weight ratio of 698 hp / ton. This was enough to send it to 62 MPH (100 km / h) in just 2.5 seconds and up to a top speed of 180 MPH (290 km / h).

Donkervoort says that the P24 RS will serve as a “sister car” at F22, but will have its own distinct character.

“The two were designed with the enjoyment of drivers and commitment to their hearts,” said the firm. “Both are born from an obsession with light construction – but the P24 RS will further push the performance of the F22. There are records waiting to be beaten, and the P24 Rs at the speed of doing so. But it also has the potential to redefine what customer service and personalization means. »»
