- The Porsche Lake Tahoe Tour offers a seven -day driving experience with the 911.
- The trip includes nights in several luxurious hotels and complexes.
- This year’s event takes place between August 17 and 17 and begins in Sacramento.
Lake Tahoe is one of the most amazing destinations in the United States, with its breathtaking landscapes, its opulent hotels and many panoramic routes to satisfy any driving passionate. It is therefore not surprising that Porsche chose this picturesque place for a seven -day tour in August. What could raise an eyebrow, however, is how this little getaway will cost you.

The Lake Tahoe Tour, from August 17 to 23, will make you go back from $ 18,500 per person for a double occupation or $ 21,500 for a solo adventure. This is broken down into $ 2,643 to $ 3,071 per night. For the context, that’s about what you would pay for a brand new Nissan Versa (from $ 17,190) or a Sentra sedan ($ 21,590). Just say.
This price includes accommodation, meals and, above all, the cars you will drive. Couples will share a car, while solo travelers will be twinned with another guest.
Not quite a GT3 RS, but always quite soft
No, you don’t put your hand on any of Porsche’s exclusive GT models, but the range is not really lacking. Tour participants will lead a mixture of Porsche 911, including the 911 Cabriolet, 911 Carrera GTS, 911 Turbo S and 911 Turbo S Cabriolet. Of course, it would be good to take a GT3 RS for a tour, but these options should still be more than sufficient to cause adrenaline, especially on public roads.

For the first day, participants will fly to Sacramento and will be sent to the Kimpton-Sawyer hotel where they will enjoy a welcome dinner with staff and other travelers. The next day, they will leave the city and head for the San Joaquin valley with a stop in Suters Creek in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. The journey continues through Highway 49, Highway 26 and the Carson Pass motorway before a lunch and a night at the Edgewood Resort on the shore of Lake Tahoe.
On the second day, the convoy heads towards the eastern shore of the lake, on the Mount Pink motorway and in the Washoe valley. The 911 will then go to Virginia City and, on the way back to Lake Tahoe, will pass through six Mile Canyon Road and Carson City. The next day, the participants will end a full tour of Lake Tahoe and on the fifth day, they will return to Highway 49 and will pass through several small mining towns and through superb mountain passes. On the sixth day, the tour turns to Sacramento, visiting Dowevieville, Sierra City, Nevada City, Grassville and Auburn on the way.
An epic trip trip – if you can afford it
All well considered, it looks like an incredible road trip, mixing panoramic routes and luxurious cars. The only drawback? The price. If only it was only $ 1,850 per person instead of $ 18,500, although let’s be real, if you could allow you a 911, this price would probably not bite as much.
