- The UN-OFF is an original idea of designer Joey Ruiter and is a consecutive offset.
- This unique creation was exhibited at SEMA and the Petersen Automotive Museum.
- King shock absorbers offer this work of rolling art with a solid 25 -inch traveling trip in suspension.
From time to time, a car arrives so bizarre, so downright strange, that it is difficult to believe that it really exists. Enter the restart buggy, an original off-road vehicle which is currently on sale in the United States. If you are on the market for something really there, it is the one to watch.
Designed by Joey Ruiter more than a decade ago, the restart buggy was envisaged as an ultra-summal mode of transport. Inspired by cars without horses of the 1800s, these pre-self-esteem clumsy devices, Ruiter has created something that manages to mix the past with the present in a way that makes you turn your head. Presented both at the Sema Show and the Petersen Automotive Museum, the restart buggy is as much curiosity as a functional all-terrain vehicle.

Cars & Bids currently manages the sale of this strangely captivating creation, and although it can look like a return to a simpler period, the buggy is punching. Under this minimalist body, a 6.3 -liter natural v8 v8 was rehospored in the chassis, just behind the tiny cabin.
This engine delivers 400 hp through a three -speed automatic transmission causing the rear wheels. It is not known to what extent of Ruiter’s creation weighs, but it is probably quite light and would probably be absolutely hilarious to drive angry.
Cars and offers
Unlike the cars that inspired it, the buggy focuses on off -road performance and it is equipped with King Coilovers, which gives it more than 25 inches of suspension travel. It rolls on 18-inch wheels wrapped in 40-inch Yokohama Geolander Mud-Terrain tires and also offers Warn Industries winch.
Given the simplicity of the design of the buggy, it is not surprising that the interior was very basic. Everything you will find inside is a pair of black leather seats with harness, a simple three -pointed steering wheel and a simple black metal dash with some digital readings.
The list indicates that the buggy has been driven about 1,200 miles (around 1,931 km) since its construction. There is no word on how it is currently working, but it would certainly be an interesting addition to any collection of cars.
Currently at auction on cars and offers, the buggy would be entitled for road use, although we imagine that most buyers could be more interested in removing it from the beaten track. If you feel adventurous and want to know more – or maybe place an offer – you can consult the list here.
