  • The Alpine A310 sports car was spying in Scandinavia.
  • The future competitor Porsche 911 will be an electric coupé 2 + 2.
  • Alpine uses a French Ligier JS2 R racing car as a chassis mule.

We are only two months old from the revelation of the new Alpine Crossover A390, but in the background, France’s response to Porsche works on another A3 brand car and our team of spy photos caught the tests.

The car is the A310, which will be above the next A110 and will try to steal sales far from the 911 in Porsche, just as the original A310 tried to do so in the 1970s and the early 1980s.

And given his mandate in 911, you might not be too surprised that the vehicle of these spying strokes is a lowered sports car with scissor doors and a huge engine style wing. But don’t pay too much attention to what you see, because the A310 will not look like that.

The A310 is also at an early stage of development, Alpine uses a mule to test her new two-two coupe. And the car he uses as a mule seems to be a Ligier JS2 R, a specially designed racing car which – like Alpine – built in France but is not approved for use on the road.

Ligier provides his JS2 RS with fiberglass with a Ford V6, but Alpine engineers will have spurred out of this powertrain, if the chassis they received has never been equipped with GO parts. Providing the motive force is instead an electric configuration that the snow powder spray from each of the four corners reveals is the all -wheel drive.

The real A310, owed in 2028, will climb on a stretched version of the Alpine performance platform also intended for the smallest A110, and considered the basis of the Mega Hatch Renault 5 Turbo 3rd revealed earlier this week.

Although this mule has seen the tests with the brand’s warm A290 hatch does not give us any clue to the external design of the A310, it seems logical to assume that it will share the characteristics with the A390 crossing and the concept of hypercar alpenglow, including a full width spine, the plunging nose, the tips through the body and a spine from the nose from the nose tail.

We included some photos of the JS2 R of the Ligier website in the gallery below.
