The new EV will get on a platform from an unharmed European automaker, while an Italian company will be responsible for engineering and design

- Perseus is an EV startup based in the United Kingdom which will launch a compact crossing by the end of 2027.
- The model will run on a platform from a European automaker, which will also provide maintenance.
- An Italian engineering and design company will manage the style, as well as some of the tests and development.
The Boom EV has not disappeared as planned for many companies and a number of them have become the belly, including arrival, Canoo and Fisker. However, sales of electric vehicles are climbing and there is a new entrance in the form of Perseus.
The British company has come out of the “stealth mode” and is led by a team of former senior executives from Bentley, Lotus, Ineos Automotive and Jaguar Land Rover. They plan to launch a “compact SUV focused on performance and technology” at the end of 2027.

Scheduled to compete with the Premium segment, the Perseus SUV will be based on a “cutting-edge EV platform experienced from a European OEM group”. The company has also associated itself with an Italian engineering and design company to manage interior and outdoor style as well as development, prototyping and tests. In addition to this, the company will use a manufacturer of European production contracts.
This is quite intelligent because the company will use an existing platform as well as an established manufacturer. It also seems that many work will be outsourced to a company specializing in the design and development of vehicles. This contrasts strongly with the typical philosophy of startups, where companies try to do everything themselves and burn millions of dollars in the process.

We can expect to learn more in the coming months, but the Teaser image shows an elegant crossing with an atmosphere of Genesis and thin headlights. They are joined by a long hood, which takes place in a Rakish windshield. Elsewhere, there is an angular shoulder line and what looks like gateway to flush.
Nothing else is known about the EV at this stage, but Perseus says that it will have an “inspiring and emotional design, revolutionary technology, engaging performance and exceptional user experience with convincing value”. We can also expect an artificial intelligence and “exceptional personalization”.

Perseus will adopt the direct sales model for consumers, which focuses on online sales and a handful of brand experience centers. The company will also rely on its automotive platform supplier for a “maintenance network across Europe and maintenance”.
The founder and CEO of Perseus Motor Corporation, Mohammed Yehya El Bakkali, said: “The launch of Perseus marks a new exciting chapter of global automobile innovation. Our ambition is clear: to create a British British EV brand which offers an emotionally captivating design, advanced performance and a customer experience to reduce smart and software software. ”.
