For years, Volkswagen has sold a handful of distinctive sedan models in China, including Sagitar, which is produced in partnership with FAW. This week, the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technologies has unveiled Sagitar Lifted, which brings a well -necessary design of design which considerably improves its appearance compared to the existing model.

Essentially, sagitar is a longer wheelbase version of the 7th generation jetta sold on Western markets, including North America, and is comparable in size to the Passat. The sedan measures 4,812 mm (189.4 inches) in length, 1,813 mm (71.3 inches) in width and 1,479 mm (58.2 inch) in height, with a wheelbase of 2,731 mm (107.5 inches). Although its external design is not considered particularly elegant, the updated model now has a more modern look, leaving behind its obsolete design indications before 2020.

The new sagitar offers refreshed headlights with blackened lenses and a more refined front grille with a subtle split. The VW badge can be personalized with a blackened or chrome finish, and a piece of black garnish now connects small air intakes for additional visual interest.

Elsewhere, VW adjusted with new door handles that sit in red with the body and will offer three new 17 -inch wheels with black and silver rays, a sunroof and a black shark fin. Visible at the rear is a prominent sagitar badge and LED rear lights with a light bar.

Under the hood, the Sagitar Lifted will be available exclusively with a 1.5 -liter four -cylinder turbocharged engine, producing a modest 158 ​​hp (118 kW). This power is probably sufficient for a sedan of this size and should offer good energy efficiency, although the details on fuel consumption are not disclosed. The power supply is sent to the front wheels by an automatic DSG double clutch transmission with seven -speed.

In addition, Volkswagen is equivalent to Sagitar with modern technology, including an integrated video pilot recorder and an event data recorder. Characteristics that become more common in new vehicles for safety and safety purposes.
