These reminders affect more than 60,000 vehicles on at least seven different model lines
–>
- Ford has published four new reminders, affecting more than 60,000 vehicles on several product ranges.
- Some vehicles have problems with windows that do not retract when detecting objects.
- Others suffer from defective cameras, which will be corrected via a software update.
Ford knows that it has a recall problem and, of course, it works on a solution – although they have said that before. This is the second time this month that the automaker has published several reminders on the same day. Now there are four of them, covering more than 60,000 vehicles on at least seven different model lines. All the problems seem repairable via the software update which is perhaps the silver lining of this whole test.

Earlier this month, Ford published eight reminders on the same day. Most of these have also involved software updates to correct software errors – yes, it seems that software that Gremlins are always at work. But at least, they are mainly repairable without having to transport cars for new parts.
Backup camera pragas
For example, the biggest reminder of the day includes 49,399 vehicles, including the explore from 2020 to 2023, the Lincoln Aviator from the same period and the Lincoln Corsair from 2020 to 2022 to correct an error with the emergency camera. Apparently, each of these vehicles did not have a correction or received a sub-pair in a previous reminder.
Battery degradation detection
The next largest target the Bronco Sport 2021-2024 and the Maverick 2022-2023. The 12,833 vehicles included must obtain a software update to solve a problem related to the detection of the sudden battery degradation. Essentially, this could lead to a car to be won or simply not to restart after a Stop / Start car event.

Edge and Super Duty reminders
Then we have a much smaller reminder for the Ford Edge 2021-2022 2021-2022 models. As the recall of the backup camera, it also addresses a software problem with the backup camera. Affected vehicles can display a virgin, deformed, discolored or entirely white screen when inversion, certainly not ideal for anyone who needs to see where they are going.
And finally, nine Ford Super Duty trucks of the 2023 model year model have another software problem. This time, it comes back to the automatic retract function on the windows. When a window detects a potential pinching situation, it is supposed to retract alone. Again, the best part of this whole situation is that the correction will be little more than a software update. Hopefully this new solving these problems for good.
In the end, the silver lining here is that the fixes seem to be simple software updates, so nobody has to deal with parts replacements.
