- A consumer association in Germany continues the country’s transport authority on full -size American trucks.
- The DUH demands information on the KBA version on the permits issued for microphones like RAM’s 1500.
- Large trucks do not comply with EU type approval regulations and must be approved individually by the KBA.
President Donald Trump recently complained that Europe had not bought enough American cars. And now, a German consumption association’s mission is to make even more difficult for certain American vehicles to find their way on the roads of their country.

The action of the Environment Germany (DUH), an association of environmental protection and consumer protection for non -profit, thinks that the full -size American trucks are too large, too dirty and too dangerous, and has launched a trial against federal Germany on car transport (KBA) in order to force them to disclose information on trucks operating in the country.
Why are American microphones under fire
Trucks of large sensitivities (with European sensitivity) such as the FF series, various RAM models and similar GM microphones do not comply with the EU type approval regulations governing security and emissions, unlike small American vehicles such as the Ford Mustang and Cadillac Lyriq.
They emit up to nine times more CO2 particles than ordinary European cars and are often not equipped with compulsory security systems in the region, says Duh. And up to 6.8 m (266 inches) long and 2.7 m (106 inches) wide, they are a tight adjustment on certain European roads and often do not hold at all in European parking spaces.

Each example imported in Europe must be approved individually and the DUH fears that 80% of the 4,025 registrations in the 27 EU countries in 2023 were carried out in Germany. Nearly 3,000 of the trucks concerned were rams, even if the stellantis microphones only ranked the third behind the Chevy Silverado and Ford F series in the American American 2023 Sinuing Table.
The DUH had previously asked the KBA to provide information on individual approval permits for XXL trucks, but as it refused to comply, the Greenies increased the questions and brought the legal transport agency to force it to publish the requested data, citing the information law of information.

“The immense climate damage and an increased risk of serious traffic accidents are accepted” by allowing trucks to skip type approval regulations, Jürgen Resch, Federal Director of Duh, warns.
Resch and the Duh call on the German government to apply major taxes and parking restrictions to limit the appeal of trucks and reduce the number in the country.
