The demonstrators were in force during the weekend while the Tesla Takedown movement continues to take momentum. Unfortunately, one of these events almost took a tragic turn.
According to the Sheriff’s Bureau of the County of Palm Beach, Andrew Dutil, 44, led by a demonstration in Florida and shouted to the participants. He finally returned and would have led his Nissan to the sidewalk and in the crowd at a slow speed.

ABC News reports that the police received calls for a vehicle “hitting almost several pedestrians”. When they arrived at the scene, the authorities found the SUV “parked on the sidewalk in front of the dealer with several people around him”.
While no one was injured, Dutil was arrested and accused of serious assault with a deadly weapon without intention. According to the law firm of Moses and Rooth, it is a crime of the third degree which can lead to up to five years in prison, five years of probation and a fine of $ 5,000.
It is not immediately known what made it only to drive in the group of demonstrators, but the natural hypothesis is politics. Although this remains to be seen, the county of Palm Beach is home to President Trump’s Mar-A-Lago complex and there are good supporters. However, Trump narrowly lost the county against Kamala Harris in the 2024 elections by 5,676 votes.
