  • Spy photographers broke the Porsche 911 Turbo S Lifted on the Nürburgring.
  • The updated coupe has new bumpers, revised exhaust and restored contributions.
  • We can expect a hybrid powertrain with an electric motor integrated into the transmission.

Last fall, Porsche confirmed that the Turbo 911 family on the LIFT would go into production in the second half of 2025. They also revealed that it obtained a hybrid powertrain similar to the GTS.

Quick advance towards today and the spy photographers have broken an unclean prototype as a test on the Nürburgring. Caught with light day, the updated coupé has a progressive front bumper with more pronounced inputs that include vertical slats. They are joined by new headlights and some other minor adjustments.

More important changes occur at the rear because the rear has been redesigned. It now has vertical vents on the outer edges as well as a new exhaust system with four tailpipes. We can also see a new central section, ribbed accents and repositioned reflectors.

In addition to the obvious changes, the car will probably be equipped with new wheels and an updated interior. The latter should display a group of 12.6 -inch curved digital instruments, a 10.9 -inch infotainment system and a revised switching width.

Porsche was tightened on the details, but the current turbo 911 has a 3.7-liter double turbo flat dishes developing 572 hp (427 kW / 580 PS) and 553 LB-Pi (749 Nm) of torque. The turbo S increases these figures to 640 hp (477 kW / 649 PS) and 590 LB-PI (799 nm).

While the company plays shy, the 911 GTS gives us some clues about what to expect. It has a newly developed six-cylinder six-cylinder engine, a 1.9 kWh battery and an eight-speed double clutch transmission with an integrated electric motor producing up to 54 hp (40 kW / 54 PS) and 110 lb-pi (149 nm) of torque. This allows the model to produce a combined output of 532 hp (397 kW / 539 PS) and 449 LB-PI (608 nm).

When the GTS was introduced, Porsche noted that it was an increase of 59 hp (44 kW / 60 PS) compared to its predecessor. If the Turbo range obtains a similar increase, we can expect an outing of almost 700 hp (522 kW / 710 PS).
