The authorities underlined a weakened faculty driving, but 98% of the tickets issued were not linked to them

- New York has just had an eight -day repression against dangerous driving, distributing a ton of tickets.
- The repression focused on weakened faculty driving, but has issued more tickets for driving distraction.
- The majority of violations concerned the “other” offenses, with a speed for the second more common.
Saint-Patrick may be over, but the application of New York traffic is still strong-except this time, it is in the form of a complete repression. The state deployed a special execution period from March 10 to 17, during which he delivered tickets at such a high pace, you would think they were trying to beat a sort of record.
In fact, they have published nearly 56,000 tickets, which has about 290 tickets each hour for eight consecutive days. Surprisingly, only two percent of these tickets were intended for driving under influence.

During the eight -day period, the police used sobriety control points and an increase in police patrols to ensure road safety. It is similar to other driving campaigns with faculties weakened by the state during the day of independence, Halloween and other holidays. But Saint-Patrick had a little torsion. You see, drinking is practically a cultural institution for the holidays, so you can imagine the level of control it invites.
“Public security is my number one priority, and alongside our partners in the application of laws, we reprimand the dangerous and illegal conduct that endangers our communities,” said Governor Hochul. “I will always defend the inhabitants of New York, and I encourage everyone to drive in a responsible manner during the holidays, the celebrations and beyond.”
Now, the figures for this little application blitz are … well, interesting. Of the 55,661 tickets delivered, nearly 40,000 were “other violations”, whatever it means. We will assume that it covers everything, from the blowing through the stop panels to the cup of people on the highway. The second most common offense? Speeding, with 10,314 quotes. To put this in perspective, it’s 53 speed tickets issued every hour for eight consecutive days.
Interestingly, however, while the program was supposed to be an alteration of driving, the state has only delivered 1,224 tickets for this particular offense. It is just over six tickets per hour during the eight -day application period. The state has expressed almost twice as much for driving distraction.

In fact, they could have called this the awareness campaign for the safety belt of Saint-Patty’s Day because they distributed more security belt tickets (1,428) than the alteration of driving. Hey, at least, they cited 364 people for not having moved to the process. If anything, it simply proves that drivers do not need to be altered to make countless other errors.
