- Honda tested the passport recovery points by raising three SUVs in the air.
- The recovery points for the first passport had more than 14,000 pounds during the cascade.
- The power comes from a 3.5 -liter natural v6 engine in the 2026 model.
The Honda Passport Trailsport and Transport Elite are equipped with robust front recovery points as standard. Eager to demonstrate how strong these hooks are, Honda went to the desert, obtained a crane and pulled three passports in the air – all linked to each other.
Honda says that the front recovery points on the passport are designed to support the weight of the SUV twice, but even, the company clearly had a lot of confidence to make this blow. The front of the best passport was harnessed to the crane, the second passport was suspended from the class IIi towing of the first car, and the third was also attached to the towing of the second car. Honda says that the hooks on the first passport held more than 14,000 pounds.

These recovery points are made of cast iron, and despite the weight they can have, they were designed to detach themselves during an accident. Fortunately for this waterfall, they remained solid, preventing the three passports from falling to the ground, which would not have been a good look for Honda.
In addition to having these front recovery points as standard, the Honda passport also obtains a trailer hitch with a 7 -pin connector and two additional recovery points.
Honda lifted the veil on the new passport at the end of last year and promoted feverishly as a capable all-terrain. In Transport Guise, it is equipped with solid skid plates and General Grabber All-Terrain tires of General Tire. Honda also raised the driving height and set it with the all-terrain in mind. There is also an all-terrain cameras system and a specially adjusted full traction system.
The only engine offered for the 2026 passport is a 3.5 -liter natural v6 v6. It issues 285 hp and 262 LB-PI (355 Nm) of torque while being coupled with an automatic transmission at 10 speeds.
