- The painted wings could become standard equipment on certain versions of the Tasman.
- Kia claims that potential buyers are starting to warm up to the unusual design of the collection.
- Deliveries of the new medium -sized truck should start in Australia later this year.
If you have been traveling social media since the beginnings of Kia Tasman last year, you have probably noticed that the looks of the van triggered strong opinions. General consensus? Most people are not exactly sold on its design, although Kia insists that public opinion is gradually changing.
On their credit, it seems that Kia listens to the comments, because they made an effort to address one of the biggest truck horons: these bizarre wings.

Even before the Tasman was revealed, spy blows showed that it could be equipped with rockets of strange black wings that resemble strange eyebrows or a pair of strange mustaches. Now, a photo has been shared on social networks by the Kia Tasman Club showing the Tasman with body -colored wings and that seems much better.
The Tasman, which has not yet been sold, has recently been broken in the Australian state of Tasmania and it sported matching white arches. We will not go so far as to say that, thanks to this change, the Kia now looks good. This is not the case, mainly because of the strange placement of the headlights just in front of the arches. The shape of the grille and the blackened bumper is also a bit strange.
According to some reports, these wings with paint could be standard equipment on certain versions of the Tasman, although it has not yet been revealed in its entirety. If they actually become standard, Kia will essentially recognize that the black wings have not touched the sensitive string as they probably hoped. This could be good news for customers, especially those that have been instantly disabled by black wings.
While speaking of the unconventional appearance of the truck in December, the director general of marketing of Kia Australia, the dean of marketing, Norbiato, said that the inhabitants were starting to go to the design after having seen the Tasman in person.
“You are all aware of the comment around the launch of an aesthetic point of view, but we are really starting to see a narrative change in terms of opinions,” said Norbiato.
“Many people, the more they see it and pass with it, we see an opinion separation from the initial launch. We have also done research on customers. We had a week -long research article with the Tasman, and in terms of feedback, we feel confident from a global sales volume position that we have with this model – the product and its specifications – that we are in good position, “he added.
