The city of Pennsylvania uses corrugated road brands to slow down residential shortcut drivers

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration indicates that speed is involved in approximately a third of all the deaths of motor vehicles and that the speed killed 12,151 people in 2022. Given the dangers, governments and the application of laws have found a number of methods to dissuade the practice.
However, few raises as much eyebrows as much as the canton of Montgomery did. The small community of Pennsylvania of around 25,000 people decided to paint a local road with wavy lines. The end result makes Grays Lane look like a sad surrealist painting.

Although drivers can currently ignore the lines and continue driving directly, this will not be much longer. The canton noted that the delimitants will soon increase and this suggests that the road will be bordered by plastic columns, which will force the drivers to slow down and follow the winding path.
Of course, this is the point because the canton wants drivers to slow down in the residential area. Residents are apparently on board with this, as civil servants would have received several complaints concerning people accelerating on the road.
Officials are not developed, but a card in the region shows that Grays Lane can be used as a shortcut between two main roads. If you don’t cut there, you might have to travel up to 1.5 mile (2.4 km), depending on how you travel.
Thanks to the changes, Grays Lane will probably become a much less attractive shortcut. In addition, drivers who take this route will now move more slowly.
