Electric cars are no longer just a matter of efficiency – they turn into full performance monsters. During the Taycan Turbo GT test in Weissach Guise Phare, which abandons the rear seats, the motor trend recorded an astonishing time from 0 to 60 MPH (96 km / h) of 1.89 seconds with its typical deployment procedure. This acceleration places the Porsche before a serious elite competition. In fact, it is now the fastest access car that Motortrend has ever tested in 76 years of history.

In the test, the electric Porsche lighthouse has set a time of 21.86 seconds, pulling an average of 1.03 g. It is the fourth fastest time ever recorded, and only a hundredth of a second behind a Chevrolet Corvette Z06 with the Z07 pack, and was close to the Ferrari 296 GTB and McLaren 765LT.

Braking performance is just as impressive. The Taycan Turbo GT Weissach stopped 60 mph in just 93 feet. And when it is time to recharge, the EV is just as effective, requiring only 19 minutes to go from 5% to 80% using a high -speed charger.
At what price, however?
The example tested had a sticker price of $ 233,395. There is no doubt that it is a lot of money, in particular compared to the $ 94,900 ordered by the Plaid Tesla Model S, although it is more affordable than the Sapphire Lucid Air at $ 250,575.
