  • The McLaren F1 car from 1990 in 1990 in 1990 was propelled by the Honda RA100E F1 engine.
  • Components such as camshafts, cam covers and pistons will be won.
  • The Japanese brand also plans to sell Indycar runners and motorcycles.

Honda is engaged in a new activity, selling pieces from some of its famous racing cars, signed goods, rare artefacts and full racing machines. The new Honda Racing Corporation souvenir company will start during the Monterey car week in August, where parts of a Formula 1 engine runs by no one other than the legendary Ayrton Senna will be sold at auction.

Motorsport has always been an important company for most of the world’s largest automotive brands, and Honda wants to give back to fans, offering them the possibility of having a piece of history of the race. In 1990, Senna said that the pilot championship driving an McLaren engine and the Honda RA100E F1 engine was dismantled and parts were moved to dedicated windows.

The components, including camshafts, camshafts, pistons and connecting rods, are ready to pass under the hammer. The Japanese brand plans to sell lots of other pieces from its automobile sports collection. For example, he currently chooses cars formerly used in the Indycar series, and also intends to unload some of his classic motorcycles in the future. He has not provided any indication on the Indycar runners and the motorcycles he will sell, but this news will necessarily be welcomed by collectors and amateurs.

“We aim to make it a precious company that allows fans that love F1, MotoGP and various other breeds to share the history of Honda’s challenges in the race since the 1950s,” said HRC president Koji Watanabe. “Understanding our fans to have part of the history of Honda’s race is not intended to be a unique company, but rather a continuous business that we will feed and grow.”
