  • Spy photographers have captured Corvette C8 prototypes with an updated interior.
  • The model avoids the controversial “wall of buttons” and has a new dashboard.
  • A group of Zora prototypes was also spied on and they may have more than 1,200 hp.

President Reagan called Mikhail Gorbachev to “demolish this wall” and it seems that the Corvette C8 team has finally heard the message. It is clear today, because the spy photographers caught the updated interior of the car, which avoids the controversial “wall of buttons”.

The division division has caused strong reactions since we revealed exclusively the interior of the C8 in 2019. Some people hated so much, they refused to believe that the “wall” would be seen in the production model.

Plus: 2026 Corvette Zora will be part ZR1 and part of the electronic shelves

Quick advance until today and it seems that they will finally get their wish because the prototypes have been spied on without the massive divider. Although we cannot see the full interior, the car has a revised dashboard which now circulates around the infotainment system. The wall of the buttons cannot be seen and this suggests that the physical climate and the seat controls will be deleted. This should be relatively easy because the infotainment system makes them redundant effectively.

Speaking of the infotainment system, it seems to be about the same size as its predecessor. If this is the case, it would be disappointing because the current model has an 8 -inch screen, which seems a little too small.

Reflections make additional changes difficult to decipher, but it seems that certain switching devices can be updated or repositioned. In addition to that, we can see a familiar steering wheel and a group of digital instruments.

In addition to the interior photos, the spy photographers broke two different groups of prototypes. The most notable is a set of Zora coupes that have been spied on in the upper Michigan peninsula.

Similar properly aggressive, the models seem to be equipped with a version of the ZTK performance package of the ZR1. It includes front diving plans, a gurney lip mounted on the hood and a massive rear wing. We can also see a flow cover, light wheels and a familiar rear end.

Chevrolet was tight on the car, but it should combine the 5.5 -liter flat -plane crank V8 of the ZR1 with the electric motor mounted on the electronic rays. The latter produced 160 hp (119 kW / 162 PS) and 125 lb-pi (169 nm) of torque, while the first develops 1,064 hp (793 kW / 1,079 PS) and 828 lb-pi (1.121 nm) of torque. This suggests that the Zora all-wheel drive could have much more than 1,200 hp (895 kW / 1 217 PS) and 900 lb-ft (1219 nm) of torque.
