  • This beast is fueled by an 8.0-liter quad-turbocompressed W16 with 1,578 hp.
  • The racing car weighs much less than the Chiron on which it is based.
  • The production of hypercar only on track will be limited to only 40 examples.

Dollars of several million dollars are not crazier than the Bugatti Bolide. Based on the Chiron but with a whole new light body, only 40 examples will be built for Bugatti collectors, and although many will be locked in garages, Top Gear recently had the chance to drive one on the track.

Ollie de TG’s wedding went to Paul Ricard’s circuit in France to put the racing car with the help of the main Bugatti test driver, Andy Wallace. Obviously, driving an ultra-rare hypercar of a value as much as a racing car would be scary for the most part, but marriage did not prevent exploring its limits.

Like the Super Sport Chiron, the 8.0-liter quad-turbo quadrbo of the racing car offers 1,578 hp and 1,180 lb-ft (1600 nm) of torque. However, while the Super Sport Chiron weighs approximately 2,000 kg (4,400 lb), the racing car tips the scale at only 1,450 kg (3197 lb). Consequently, it accelerates the speed tirelessly in the right and the corners of Paul Ricard.

According to the TG host, the traction in a straight line of the racing car is no different from Koenigsegg Jesko, which has up to 1,600 hp and weighs approximately 100 kg (220 lb) less than the Bugatti. Despite this, while Jesko has trouble putting all its power in the tarmac through the rear wheels, the all -wheel drive system provides it with monumental traction levels, which means that you can get into the accelerator early and get the most out of the grip of smooth tires.

As part of the property experience, the owners of the racing car will be invited by Bugatti to take their cars on the track during dedicated events around the world – just like what Ferrari does with his XX program.
