- This GP Brawn car was conducted throughout the 2009 season by Rubens Barrichello.
- The power always comes from the original Mercedes-Benz V8 with natural suction.
- This car was initially offered to the 2009 Formula 1 World Champion Jenson Button.
The Brawn GP Formula 1 team existed only for a single season in 2009, but it won the pilot and manufacturers’ championships. Now, one of the three Brawn F1 cars built heads for the auctions at the May Miami Grand Prix.
Brawn GP’s story will probably never be repeated. The team was born after Honda suddenly decided to leave sport at the end of the 2008 season. Ross Brawn did not want to see the team collapse and saved it. He quickly obtained an engine supply agreement with Mercedes-Benz, and the car was ready for the first round of the Australian Grand Prix.

When the team was still known as Honda, she had largely given up developing her 2008 car and rather moved her goal in 2009. In fact, Jenson Button won six of the first seven races this season.
Bonhams was responsible for sale No. 001/01 of the three BRAWN GP F1 cars built. The team gave him to Button after his victory in the championship. The British teammate, Rubens Barrichello, led this example throughout the season and obtained nine top-Dix finishes with her, with four podiums which included second place at the Australian, Spanish and Monaco Grand Prix.
This is the only F1 Brawn car never offered for public sale, keeping the original Mercedes-Benz engine. The list does not indicate if it is in working order, nor does not provide a guide price for the quantity of selling. However, given its rarity and its history, tenderers are probably ready to spend a fairly heavy sum.
