The electric truck was completely overwhelmed in the port of Ventura, but fortunately, no one was inside at the time

- A Cybertruck sank into the port of Ventura, exposing faults in Musk’s boat claims.
- The owner would have tried to launch a jet ski when the accident occurred.
Remember when Elon Musk made this absurd limit say that the cybertruck would be “waterproof enough to serve as a boat, so that it can cross the rivers, the lakes and even the seas which are not too jerky” in 2022? Classic Elon. Well, reality has a funny way to define expectations directly.

It turns out that the dream of a cybertruck which could double as a boat was, well, a little too optimistic, and a unlucky owner of Tesla discovered it to the hard this week. On Monday morning, a cybertruck was spotted at the bottom of the Port of Ventura in California – to the great dismay of its owner, who, let’s be honest, probably did not plan to test the “waterproof” function of the truck in this way.
What happened?
According to a fire chief of fire on the scene who spoke to ABC7The incident started when the owner apparently tried to launch a ski jet. In one way or another, in what can only be described as a spectacular calculation error, the cybertruck ended up sliding in the water instead. As the emergency teams arrived, the truck had fully adopted its new aquatic lifestyle completely overwhelmed.
The good news? No one was inside the vehicle. The driver managed to go out before he sank, so at least there is only wick optimism in a situation differently soggy.
A diver was sent to hang the truck to a tow line. After a fight, the electric vehicle full of water was removed from the depths. As it resurfaces, the water poured with all the imaginable openings, including the driver’s window, which seems to have been opened when the driver jumped. So much for Musk’s boat dreams.
As for the truck itself, you do not need to be an engineer to understand that salt water, electricity and modern vehicles do not play exactly well together. To say, that this particular Cybertruck does not come back from it.
