Morgan unveiled the supersport, his new flagship model and successor of the most six. Although he keeps a familiar silhouette, he introduces fresh style clues, with a friendliness and chassis improvements that bring him closer to traditional competitors like Porsche and Aston Martin.
The exterior design of the Morgan Supersport is cleaner and more aerodynamic compared to its predecessor, without detaching from tradition. The front offers a more sporty bumper and larger LED headlights with integrated indicators.

The iron grille led to the long pavilion cap, attached between the retro wings. Standard 18 -inch superlite wheels can be exchanged for 19 -inch forged aluminum airworms as an option, adding style while reducing unpurrent weight.
The falling tail was also modernized, with low LED rear LED lights housed in the diffuser, alongside the double exhaust pipes. In addition to the standard folding Mohair High, the roadster is also available with a hard composite interchangeable carbon composite, the transforming it effectively into a coupe.
Remented faithful to the original recipe, the body is made of aluminum, formed by hand on a wooden frame of ash. According to the company, 60% of the aluminum used on the body and chassis is made from recycled materials.
The interior looks a lot like six with countless options for Scottish leather pad and wooden garnish. However, the designers of Morgan increased the storage space behind the seats, as well as the addition of a glove box, a small boot and an optional luggage rack. Although we did not know the capacity of the Supersport boot, the company claims that it provides a “large place for screen storage and night bags”.
Interior equipment includes an improved audio system of Sennheiser, a wireless load pocket on the central console and hands -free calls, which is a first for the brand. These changes make the supersport more suitable for weekend getaways, representing an evolution compared to its spartan predecessors.
Improved foundations
The supersport rolls on the CXV aluminum spaceframe chassis, which is more rigid compared to the previous CX. The new chassis is combined with a new steering system for an improved response and a reworked suspension with longer trips. Consequently, the supersport would offer a more engaging driving experience, while being more livable.

For those who want an even more sporty configuration, Morgan offers the possibility of adjustable nitron shock absorbers and a limited slip differential. Despite the upgrades, the car keeps a low sidewalk weight of 1,170 kg (2,579 pounds).
Under the hood, you will find a six.0 -liter BMW 3.0 -liter six.0 -liter engine, offering 335 hp (340 PS) and 369 LB -PI (500 Nm) of torque – the same outing as the more discontivized Morgan plus six. The power supply is sent to the rear wheels via an eight -speed ZF automatic gearbox.
Price and availability
The Morgan Supersport is at the price of £ 85,000 ($ 110,000) before taxes, resulting in a price on the road of £ 105,160 ($ 136,000) in the United Kingdom. Optional extras, such as airfields of £ 6,600 ($ 8,500) or the active sports exhaust of £ 3,000 ($ 3,900), can push the higher price.
As with its predecessor, each supersport will be built by hand in the facilities of Morgan’s Pickersleigh Road. Orders are now accepted, the first examples that should reach the British dealers for tests in mid-April.
