- The first electric Lamborghini will use a new shared platform with Porsche, Audi and Bentley.
- In addition to being extremely powerful, the new model will have a new architecture of 980 volts.
Ferrari is preparing to make his first EV debut this year, but Lamborghini does not rush to follow the plunge. Instead, the bull that rages takes its time, with its first unwaished electric model before the end of the decade. When it happens, however, it promises to be a power – potentially eclipseing it from Ferrari by a significant margin. If the recent reports are true, the transition to electricity will not mean the end of the horse wars.
Lamborghini’s first EV will be based on the concept of Lanzador 2023. Speaking during the Volkswagen Group’s annual media conference, CEO Oliver Blume has confirmed that the vehicle will be built on a new shared platform on Porsche, Audi, Bentley and Lamborghini models.

Blume said that this platform “will allow up to 2,000 hp and 980 volts” and said it will be “a very specific configuration for Lamborghini”. If the first electric vehicle of the brand grows near this figure of power, it would put it in the same league as the Pininfarina Battista and Rimac nevera, while dragging only Koenigsegg Gemera as the most powerful production car in the world.
However, although the platform may be able to take charge of 2,000 hp, we would be surprised that the first Lamborghini EV arrives on the market with so much power, at least in its standard form, especially if it takes the form of a high-level crossing like the Lanzador.
However, Lamborghini clearly wants his first EV to make a declaration. During the Lanzador unveiling during Monterey cars week in 2023, the company praised a megawatt production – equivalent to 1,341 hp – which would always be an amazing number for an electric lamborghini.

The promise of an architecture of 980 volts is also exciting. While most high -end electric vehicles are currently at the top of 800 volumes, some of China have reached the brand of 900 volts, and the new lucid gravity has an architecture of 926 volts, allowing a super fast load and a long range.
Blume also confirmed to Coach This fourth model of Lamborghini will be built in Italy but did not specify where his powertrain would come from. However, he assured fans that it will be “a typical Lamborghini, something very emotional”. If history is a guide, it means that it will be strong (figuratively, if not literally), dramatic and fast enough to maintain the reputation of the brand intact, even without a roaring V12 under the hood.
