  • The first production of Ford Mustang Dark Horse returns to auction again.
  • The pony car was initially sold at auction last year when it collected $ 375,000 for charity.
  • Although it was not fresh out of the factory, the 500 hp coupe is still wrapped in the original plastic.

Last year, Ford sold at auction the first Mustang Dark Horse 2024 during a Barret-Jackson event in Scottsdale, Arizona. The high power pony car brought back $ 375,000 and all profits were donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Quick advance until today and the Mustang full of performance is back on the auction block. This time, it is offered to Barret-Jackson’s Palm Beach Auction and will benefit the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

Plus: the Ford Mustang Dark Horse 2025 costs the same as a corvette

So what has changed in the past year? Not much, because the black horse looks new and is still wrapped in factory plastic. The list does not mention the mileage, but it is prudent to assume that this car has very little and has almost never been motivated.

This black horse is finished in metallic blue ball and includes 19 inch wheels wrapped in Pirelli Trofeo RS tires. It also sports a Brembo braking system, a magnet suspension, a K bracelet and a limited slip differential.

Other strengths include a group of 12.4 -inch digital instruments, a 13.2 -inch infotainment system and Recaro seats. This particular model has also been equipped with handling and appearance packages.

Under the hood, there is a 5.0-liter V8 which pumps 500 hp (373 kW / 507 PS) and 418 lb-pi (566 nm) of torque. It is connected to a six -speed manual transmission, which sends power to the rear wheels.

The Mustang is offered without reservation and there is no doubt that it will sell much more than the departure price of Dark Horse of $ 60,635. What is the amount of the question to a million dollars, but the black horse may not be the king of the stable for much longer (excluding the GTD Mustang at $ 325,000, 815 hp, that is to say), because an alleged UAW document suggested by Ford could work on a new Shelby GT500 for 2026.
