- Elon Musk would have planned to give $ 100 million to the groups controlled by Trump.
- The story broke for hours after a bizarre tesla promo took place in front of the White House.
- Trump said Musk was treated unjustly and promised to buy a S model.
If you thought Donald Trump left (unleavented) Elon Musk hanging out in the oval office because he is practical with a chain saw, this news could reveal his other attraction. Tesla’s CEO said he wanted to give $ 100 million to Trump groups.
The donation – A record for a person working near a president – could go to Trump’s political action committees (PACS), according to the New York Times, and will be used to help guarantee control of the GOP of the Chamber and the Senate in mid -term elections. Musk has already spent about $ 290 million thanks to his own PAC helping Trump winning the election last year.

The news was certainly interesting. Only a few hours before the history of the NYT separated, Musk and Trump participated in a surrealist promo of Tesla in the White House park shortly after Tesla’s sharing landed. In a context of five Tesla electric vehicles, including an S model and a cybertruck, Trump told journalists that Musk was unjustly attacked and boycotted by criticism, and said he was going to buy a Tesla for himself.
“I’m going to buy one because, number one is an excellent product, as good as possible, and number two because (Elon Musk) has donated his energy and his life to this and I think he is treated very unfairly,” said Trump, referring to recent demonstrations against Tesla.
We do our best to remain apolitical at Carscoops, aware that we are united by a shared love for cars, but that not all could have the same political opinions. And that’s good: whatever you voted last November, you are welcome here. But I suspect that many people on both sides of the division find something unpleasant in the highest office in the country used to promote a bunch of electric vehicles as if it were an advertising place in the Super Bowl.
We have seen presidents say largely positive things about the products of car manufacturers before, like when Joe Biden led the Ford F-150 Lightning. But this Tesla Love-in felt deaf when we heard about it on Tuesday and seems even worse in the light of history on the planned donation of Musk.
