- Byd has launched a new 1,000-volt electronic super platform for electric vehicles in China.
- The Super-E architecture can add almost a mile for each second in charge.
- The president says that Byd will deploy more than 4,000 chargers across China.
EVS ‘last harvest almost has driving ranges similar to combustion, and now byd is trying to remove one of the other major obstacles preventing certain ice car drivers from making the change. Electric vehicles built around its new electronic super platform are capable of “filling up” as quickly as you can land your petrol vehicle.
Launched this week in China, the new architecture and matching chargers use their 1,000 volts technology to pump / accept a 1,000 kW peak. This allows electric vehicle drivers to add 249 miles (400 km) additional driving miles in just 5 minutes.

Even those who only have an interest in electric vehicles know that it is incredibly fast. In the West, most electric vehicles still depend on 400 volt technology and cannot manage more than 200 kW of juice. The few that can, like cars using the E-GMP platform in Hyundai-Kia, have 800 volts electric and can include chargers of 350 kW, although they never draw so many watts.
The announcement occurred during a live event held at Shenzen’s headquarters in Byd when the founder Wang Chuanfu is involved in the deployment of more than 4,000 megawatt load units across China, without giving a delay.

The 350 kW car drivers will be aware that you cannot always use the maximum load capacities of your 800 volts electric vehicle, so Byd will have to get these chargers out quickly, which is easier to say. The drop in chargers of 1 MW is much more complicated than adding a unit of 50 kW and costs one more tonne due to upgrades of the necessary infrastructure.
Byd also started EV Han L and Tang L, which use the super electronic platform. The ranges of SUV Han Sedan and Tang both start with a single rear engine manufacturing 500 kW (670 hp / 680 PS) for less than $ 40,000, while the double -engine AWD versions generate 810 kW (1,086 HP / 1.101 PS), reports Car China China.
