The production version of the Neolun concept of 2024 will go to combat with the Tesla X model less the doors of the rear coach of the concept

  • A prototype of Genesis 2026 GV90 was spied on in an embarrassing position.
  • The production version of the Neolun Electric SUV last year had to be towed from a snowy gap.
  • Genesis targets Tesla X model with the GV90, which has separate second row seats.

The car manufacturer test drivers do their best to avoid spy photographers as much as possible, but there was not much that these engineers could do to prevent our prototypes of hunters to obtain details juicy on the Genesis GV90 2026. The luxury electric SUV remained stuck in the snow and had to wait to be recovered.

This is our first observation of the GV90 since Genesis presented the model with the Neolun concept in the spring of 2024, and on the basis of these images, the production SUV will look a lot like the Show car. It has a strong, confident and vertical position and a more formal design than some of the brand’s other models.

The long wheelbase (approximately 3.1 m / 122 inch) allows Genesis to adapt to three rows of seats and these images include a sneaky look inside the second line where we can see two individual chairs separated by A giant console with what looks like a phone charge tray and a small tablet, probably to control the rear climate. The seats seem similar to those of the concept, but everything has not made the production jump.

Despite the designer Sangyup Lee, referring to last year that Genesis did not eliminate the without pillar B design which goes to the street, this prototype has conventional rear doors. And there is no sign that the front seats can rotate 180 degrees, as on the concept, or both in the middle doing it either (the Kia EV9 box).

The test pilots struck had the presence of mind to cover the dashboard to prevent us from seeing the digital configuration (the concept had a large unique instructor that was raised from the dashboard). But our animated vivaneaux documented the suspension and the direction with a backdoor.

Genesis did not give many technical details on the Neolun last year, but we know that he will drive on the same E-GMP platform found under his brothers Kia EV9 and Hyundai Ioniq 9. These two SUVs begin with RWD, unique motor variants, but the more luxury GV90 should obtain two engines and all -wheel drive.

This could mean basic models providing the same 429 hp (435 PS) as the Kia and Hyundais, with a light of 600 + HP (608 PS) at the top of the range. If he shares the 110 kWh battery of the IONIQ 9, the GV90 could travel 390 miles (620 km) before using its load capacity of 800 volts.

We expect the GV90 to make its debut in the coming months and will be sold for the 2026 model year for around $ 100,000.
