  • The smallest proportions of the Celica work perfectly with the Supra style.
  • It is not known whether the original four -cylinder engine has been upgraded.
  • The seller requests 99,000 Thai baht for the above replica, or a key less than $ 12,000.

The looks can certainly be deceived, because what you are looking for is not a Toyota Supra A80. Instead, it was an old Toyota Celica that has been transformed to look like a fourth generation supra. Although enthusiasts can easily make the difference between this car and a real supra, it could certainly deceive the general public.

This Celica is a 1995 model, which means that it is a sixth generation car, which was one of the most emblematic iterations. He was registered for sale in Thailand for 399,000 baht, or roughly the equivalent of $ 11,800 in the United States.

Although the list does not provide any details on the process which has been devoted to the construction of this distinctive Toyota, a former owner has clearly spent a lot of time modifying it. The front is classic A80 supra and has a set of lighthouses that look like the real thing, but have a slightly different shape. The original Celica bumper has also been abandoned and replaced by another similar to that used by its biggest brother.

We particularly like the proportions of the car. Although it is obviously smaller than a supra A80, we believe that the new design is perfectly suited to the imprint of the size of the Celica. Style changes continue with new quarter panels, a personalized bridge cover, supra badges and new rear lights. There is also a new bumper and a massive rear wing. To complete the improvements, a set of Volk Racing Te37 wheels in bronze color and improved brakes with yellow calipers.

Enter inside, and it’s about as usual with a standard interior of Celica. However, there is a new duplicate touch screen with Android Auto, so at least you will not be stuck in the 90s when it comes to technology.

Unfortunately, the list does not clarify which Celica version is or which four -cylinder engines of the car could have under the hood. What we know is that it has a new stainless steel exhaust, so at the very least, it should make a decent noise when you hit the gas.

Although this supra replica can be difficult to sell for anyone who does not live in Thailand, it is undeniable that it is an interesting vision of a classic. Who knows? Perhaps this will inspire other owners of Celica to roll up their sleeves and give their own cars an inspired youth cure.
